Synopsis for "Iron Man: D.O.A."
Beast, recently transformed into the furry man-beast is tormented upon the realization that he's stuck in his new body. Marvel Girl and Professor X are trying to contact him through Cerebro, but he tells them he only wants to be left alone. He then decides he's going to have to find a way into the Brand Corporation building and continue his research. Breaking into the library and a costume shop, he builds a latex mask and glove set that look like his old self.
Back at work the next day, he is interrupted in his research by Tony Stark and Stark's fiancee Marianne Rodgers. After Stark and Marianne meet Beast's girlfriend, Linda Donaldson, Marianne tells them that she fears Linda is evil. Hank, unhappy with this remark, leaves and goes on lunch with Linda.
After lunch, Beast takes off his mask and gloves and gets the uncanny urge to roam in his new state. During his stroll, he sees Iron Man supposedly checking in on Linda and attacks him. While they are fighting, Linda and a security force walk in to see what the commotion is about. Beast is shot, but the wound heals in seconds.
Beast is blood-thirsty and charges after Iron Man, seemingly killing him in the process. With his mind in chaos and his memories gone, Beast leaves the building and heads for the woods.
In the woods, we find Mastermind, The Blob and Unus the Untouchable trying to recruit Beast as their new member. It is here we find that Iron Man's death was an illusion created by Mastermind to coerce Beast.
