Things Peteparker doesn't like about this template

• For the edit link to work, the 'name' field has to be the same as the actual page name. The name should be able to be the actual real name.
• There's no auto-categorical magic for character features. Who's to say that Beast of Earth-45678341215618 isn't female? If the user wants that information inputted, they have to manually add the categories, (bad), or figure out some way of introducing that information as fully worded sentences in the History.
• No galleries or Category:/Appearances. There's a good chance that people want to know how many times Beast Earth-45678341215618 has been in Uncanny X-Men. And the possibilities for Galleries or multiple images shouldn't be limited.
• It imports the categories it has into the Disambiguation Page. Yuck!

Who says you even need a minor character template? There've been plenty of times when I've found more information on a minor character than the template allows and I have to jam it into the history all ugly like. Just rework the regular template to not show missing information. Then every template is as big as it needs to be and you get full functionality.

I don't like that it seems to be solely on number of appearances. A character that appears in "only" one arc, annual etc. can be crucial to that issue. An obscure character might jump to the forefront of an event like Ian McNee in Mystic Arcana.koku 21:28, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I tend to agree with you both, but sometimes I find that it's nice just to throw a picture and jot down three or four answers and be done with the template. Ugh, it's growing on me.
