Comic Name "'s

Welcome to the site (though I know you have been on here a while) and you are doing a great job! Keep it up! Just thought I would tell you I hate the "'s not being around the comic names as well. I will see if there might be an "easy", quick way to save you the trouble of having to do that for each one you come across. Give me a bit and me and Peteparker will come up with something to try to adjust all of them at once, if possible. Let me know what you think and you can respond on here if needed. Again though, keep up the edits! --M1shawhan 00:16, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Peteparker seems to have gotten it. He made a change in the template that will automatically place the quotation marks in the names. Thanks for bringing it up and we hope it helps! :) --M1shawhan 02:30, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

That sounds great! Sheesh! Now what am I going to do with all the time this will free up for me.  ;)--Stature 07:21, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

HA! --M1shawhan 02:55, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the work on the Cable Vol 1 pages. I know the work can be tedious, but it is awesome to get it completed.

FINSIHED??? Already! Woohoo! I think you've been doing outstanding work and keep seeing (and hearing) great things. Keep it up and know that we all appreciate it and notice it as well. --M1shawhan 22:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, guys. It will be a while before I try something like that again. Its just too tedious. I don't know how some of you heavy-lifters do it.  ;)--Stature 03:14, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, while I'm at it... the page for Comics:Excalibur Vol 1 lists the series as beginning in 1997, rather than the correct date of 1988. I can't for the life of my figure out how to fix it. I suspect it has something to do with the flashback month issue throwing it off.--Stature 03:21, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Ewww...I think you are right. Peteparker built the code that sorts out that date. I'll ask him if there's a way we can say "if volume has -1 comic, then to ignore it if the date is after issue 1 and add it if it is before issue 1. I guess we'll have to watch for issue 0 as well. Thanks. --M1shawhan 15:08, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok, so I tweaked the code so that it will look at the first two years in the list, and use the lesser of the two. I found that Excalibur Vol 1 was a special case, because Vol 1 1 Special Edition came out in 1987, before the first issue of the series. So, to make it correct according to what you've said above, I added 'Special Edition' after the issue number in the issue's template. That way, it gets categorized after the regular #1. So now that volume looks right, but shouldn't it really be 1987-1998? I mean, if the special is part of the volume at least.
The way the code works is that it makes a list from the category, in this case, Category:Excalibur Vol 1, and gets the years for all the books listed there. So the first one on the list is the first one It's going to try to use, (now it looks at the first two), and the last one on the list is the ending year it's going to use. So if there's problems, the easiest way is to make sure the first and last ones on the list have the right years. :)

Thought you'd want to know about it, it's crazy!

Annuals

Actually, there's a discussion about renaming annuals in the forums going on right now. Check it out, and be sure to leave your opinion. The more people we have that vote, the more likely we'll make what everyone wants happen! :)

Yea, sorry bout that, I should have mentioned the registering issues. Even though it gives you an error, your registry worked, so you can just log right in with the name you registered with. Jamie is working on updating the Forums when he gets a free minute. If you still can't get to it, I'll chime in for ya, no problem. The '95 problem has come up in the discussion as well.

Lockjaw

Looks like a temporary bug due to the url change. If we keep getting it tomorrow, remind me, and I'll ask the Wikia techs about it. :)

Lockjaw

Thanks for the reminder, I went ahead and started the disambig, but I can't remember which other versions of Lockjaw you were going to add. . .

I know in Earth X, Lockjaw's dead, and they use his antennae to teleport. (Courtesy of Earth X #1).

As for annuals, I'd say to make it similar to the other annuals in that series for now. The naming is still up in the air as to using the issue number or the year at the end, but the convention mostly these days is 'Title Annual Vol VolumeNumber Issue/Year'.

Comics:X-Man Annual Vol 1 '96

I see you are behind me cleaning up my pages. Any tips on how I can get this right the first time?

Agent 13

Thanks for the info and ideas. For the record, I am a big Sharon Rogers fan (whether she is Mark Waid's witchy woman or Steve Englehart's moody Action Girl). Glad she got brought back,, now if the girl could just find a bit of happiness. She was just stabbed, kidnapped, beaten, had a miscarriage, shot and killed her boyfriend, etc.

Oh well, Thanks Again BatrocBatrocBatroc

Your new best friend... Me!

What in the *&^%$#&^! is the problem with my Counter-Earth (Earth-616). I am still getting red marks at the bottom of ALL of my Volume II's!

I just know you can fix it... BatrocBatrocBatroc

Earth-616 Heroes Reborn

I saw the delestion from MShawn(?), so I am afraid to jump back in there and create something he just deleted.

I think all of this stuff belongs in the Counter-Earth location. Furthermore, the characters who aren't from (Earth-616) in Captain America Vol 2, are not prime characters, so that means Crossbones, Red Skull, Master Man, etc. are not the Earth-616 variety. I have a theory that Crossbone may not be Brock Rumlow. He never speaks and Liefeld may hae intended for him to be someone else,,,, just as he may have wanted Hawkeye (Heroes Reborn) to be Simon Williams, the Enchantress to be Wanda Maximoff's mother, etc. etc. Its a messed up Universe and that is one reason why I wanted to try to make some sense out of it.

Let me know if I'm bothering you too much. I appreciate the insight Batroc 20:51, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Batroc

Avalon's Bart

Put in some more Digital Chameleon credits on Cap Vol 3, then I noticed "Avalon's Bart' took over at the end... or "Avalon Studio's Bart". Do you know who this is?? Nothing on Google or other sites gave me anything.

For the record, you can't beat a name like "Digital Chameleon" for a colorist...
